this is my song to my grandad when he passed away from cancer me nd my sis would listen too this over nd over again the lyrics are spot on. also im singing this on saturday for my audition in britains got talent x nd too that comment about ur son choosin

I love this song. I have a son who has gotten married and had his own son. His new wife has forced him to choose between her and us. He has chosen her and we see them and speak to them about every few months for about 1-2 hours. We are not permitted to
bond with our grandson or have a relationship with him or be alone with him (son and grandson). I am so deeply hurt by this and I know one day (maybe when we are gone) that he will feel the same way as the lyrics of this song. I hope I am here to hold him
when he realizes what he has done in allowing this to happen. Thanks Christina.

This song really touches me! It makes me think of my dad, who I have never met, every day I think, "Why did you abandone me?", "Was I not good enough for you!?", and than I think of this song and it makes me realize I don't need him! So I just want to say

I know her real dad was abusive, so her mom left her and ended up getting re-married, so she's much closer (obviously) with her step dad... I remember watching a program on her once :D

...It
is a sad song, and I liked it for a time, but now I'm over it. Still, her voice is absolutely amazing in this (like most of her songs), it's very strong.
