Ugh
I’m tired of hearing the word “emo” being used everywhere! Especially when someone is using it as an insult, but the word shouldn’t even apply… And for the last freaking time, people! The band, Panic! At the Disco is not— I repeat, IS NOT— emo. It’s utterly ridiculous to say, “They’re the reason I became emo,” or, “I was/am emo.” That’s what is considered being a “poser” or just a follower.
Defining yourself as such (and not just emo)… Sorry, but I think it shows a lack of knowing yourself.
I find stereotyping yourself or others simply stupid. In basic truth, you cannot categorize anyone under just one thing. Everyone is a bit of something, and reading all these labels are getting beyond bothersome— to the point of enragement.
And the fact I am constantly seeing twelve-thirteen year olds giving out advice on topics that are too mature for them is bizarre. I know when you’re younger it might seem like a fun thing to do… I’ll admit it was appealing to me, but you’d never see me doing it. For Christ’s sake! A twelve-year old cannot give good advice on a topic so complex as cutting, suicide, etcetera. Don’t think I’m saying I could do better… Does anyone see me giving advice? No. That’s because I suck at it. I might be the one to give some comfort and small suggestions every now and them
Another thing, I hate hearing people complain about the oh-so-sad break-ups with their boyfriend/girlfriend because of cheating. The majority I’m hearing this all comes from is of course, and predictably, my age range. Hate to sound insensitive, but get over it.
Lastly, don’t lash out at someone on here just because they said something negative about a song, artist/band, or album you love. It’s all a matter of opinion, of which many will be contrasting (or similar). I’m so sick of getting/seeing some stupid comment left on someone’s profile written in chat speak… Uhm, it’s not insulting. My point: just knock it off, please. It's getting to the point where I feel like getting rid of my account on here.
And I realize this is quite, quite long… but rather than just posting a bunch of complaint forums, I found it more reasonable to put it one.
Have a nice day!
