Lyrics: The Escapist
The Escapist — lyrics
And in the end..
We lie awake
And we dream of making an escape
And in the end..
We lie awake
And we dream of making an escape

1 review for The Escapist:
The Escapist? Can I cheat a bit here and just throw in a quick review of this cd?
PERFECT ART, like the sun, moon and stars. Like eveything in creation.
To me, that's how "good", or "talented", or "creative"' or whatever "word" you want to use to
describe this group, words just fail to descibe the beauty of this music.
It is pop, ballad, classical, choral, folk and more. Like all their work, it is a work of collecvtive genius. As you may have guessed, I really can't get enough of this music!
I love the feeling and the melody of this song, like all the others I just noticed on my cd insert there is no "The Escapist" per say. It's like a ghost song!
I do not want to interpret anything Chris Martin writes but to me it's almost like a hym
to God to take care of all those in this world who are lost and without hope. Is that corny enough for you?
Seriosly, if any of the great artists, composers, or hosers of the past were alive today they would love this group and also this song in
particular.
In every line of this song is a complete lifetime of feeling. That is the power of this music. That is the power that all great artist have. Like a musician / friend of Karen Carpenters once said "she could take you to a place inside
yourself common to all of us". You know what I mean Earenst?
The rest of the piece is just extra cake and candles if you get my meaning. Sometimes in the feild of music you get a supernove talent like Coldplay. I hope they stay at it and keep on trying
to make sense of this upside down world we live in. God knows we need someone to make sense of the chaos out there.
As we have come, so shall we go
And as we give out, so shall we see
the beauty, the truth and the hope
in every heart we
touch
Stay well, Murkeywater
