I Write Sins Not Tragedies lyrics
Oh, well imagine; as I'm pacing the pews in a church corridor,
and I can't help but to hear, no I can't help but to hear an exchanging of words.
"What a beautiful wedding!, What a beautiful wedding!" says a bridesmaid to a waiter.
"Oh yes, but what a shame, what a shame, the poor groom's bride is a whore."
I chime in with a "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!"
No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.
I'd chime in "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!"
No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of.....
Oh, well in fact, well I'll look at it this way, I mean technically our marriage is saved
Well this calls for, a toast so, pour the champagne,
Oh! Well in fact, well I'll look at it this way,
I mean technically our marriage is saved
Well this calls for a toast, so pour the champagne, pour the champagne...
I chime in with a "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!"
No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.
I'd chime in "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!"
No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality...
Again......
I chime in "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!"
No.
It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.
I'd chime in "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!"
No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.
Again...... |

Jenny Valentine wrote on Dec 09, 2006 on 02:58 | I agree with you. Though, this is just me, I say "God" all the time simply out of habit. Considering I'm not super religous, I'm not offended by it. In all honesty, I don't care whether people say it or not, and it mostly gets on my nerves and gets me wriled up if someone condemns me for saying it. However, I understand people don't like it... I just don't care. Sorry.
Again, I liked the song before it was played too much. ...I never thought about the whole "God" thing until now... But if you take a look at other lyrics for popular songs, they're horrible compred to this song. It may be only me when I say that talking about smacking a girl's ass is more offensive than saying "God" in a song. These are just my opinion- disagree or not.

cobratom wrote on Dec 08, 2006 on 15:54 | For the folks that have a problem with "god damn", it's a good thing it's not a sin for you to HEAR it, only to SAY it, right? So maybe now you can be self rightous elsewhere?
Shit, the name of the song begins "I write SINS" | |
