Yeah, it was kind of like nobody had a choice whether or not to listen to him and make their own mind up. Somebody decided Nelly was gonna be the next big thing and he was kinda force-fed to us whether we liked it or not (I personally didn't).
The whole commercial rap scene is monopolised by a few people who decide what you do and don't listen to. There's much better indie rap available on your doorstep if you just go and look for it. | |
