Biography - Corey Glover | Corey Glover (born November 6, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American musician. He is best known as the lead singer of the U.S. rock band, Living Colour.
Glover was an aspiring actor when Vernon Reid drafted him into Living Colour, reportedly after seeing Glover singing "Happy Birthday" at a friend's party. He appeared as Pvt. Francis in Oliver Stone's classic Vietnam war film, Platoon, and starred in a short lived television series called "Signs of Life".
After Living Colour's split in 1994, he started a solo career as Reverend Daddy Love and is lead vocalist for his band VICE with Mike Ciro.
In 1998 Corey Glover released his first and only solo-album Hymns.
Living Colour reunited in 2001 at CBGB's while playing with Will Calhoun and Doug Wimbish's live drum 'n' bass duo, HEADFAKE, Vernon Reid joined them three songs into the HEADFAKE setlist and Living Colour was back again. Glover is once again singing lead vocal with them.
Living Colour released Collideoscope in October 2003.
Glover, as of August 2006, is taking on the role of Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, touring with Ted Neeley through 2007. |  | Want to know more?
