Wir Sind Helden
WIR SIND HELDEN ('We Are Heroes') is a German popband, often named as their abbreviation 'WsH'. The group was founded in 2001 and shortly thereafter in 2002 their first song 'Reklamation' topped German/Austrian charts.
Their current lineup consists of Judith Holofernes: vocals, guitars / Jean-Michel Tourette: guitars, keyboards / Pola Roy: drums and Mark Tavassol: bass. Obviously, their last names are psuedonyms. In eight years this band has released 3 albums, including one EP. WsH's latest release is Soundso from 2007, which was applauded by reviewers and fans.

Wir sind Helden are often said to have had a big influence on the current German New Wave pop industry, which entails bands such as Silbermund. Though very influential on German soil, the band is relatively unknown overseas. The band has however succeeded to have three sold out concerts in London in 2007, something which is considered as a rarity, given the fact their songs are only in German.
